Beijing, Nov. 27, 2019 – Dr. Ebtesam Al-Ketbi, President of the Emirates Policy Center (EPC) and Qi Zhenhong, President of China Institute of International Studies (CIIS), on Wednesday signed in Beijing a memorandum of cooperation between the two think tanks. Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to China HE Mr. Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri also attended the signing ceremony.

The memorandum called for cooperation between the two centers in organizing conferences and carrying out joint studies that provide strategic analysis on issues of common interest.

The signing of this memorandum stems from EPC’s keenness to build a network of partnerships with key think tanks from all over the world to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and research expertise, as well as, enhance cooperation between the two sides.

The signing of this memorandum came on the sidelines of Dr. Al-Ketbi’s participation in the “Middle East Security Forum”, which is taking place on Nov. 27-28, 2019 in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing in the presence of about 200 Chinese and Arab officials and experts. The theme of the forum is “Security in the Middle East under the New Situation: Challenges and Prospects.
