Abu Dhabi - On the sidelines of the Sixth Abu Dhabi Strategic Debate (ADSD), the Emirates Policy Center (EPC) signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with six Arab and foreign think tanks. Think tanks that had representatives in the signing ceremony included the Munich Security ConferenceInstitute of South Asian Studies at the National University of SingaporeCenter for International Strategic Studies in Islamabadthe Antall József Knowledge Centre (AJKC) in Budapest, Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan, and Egyptian Center for Thought and Strategic Studies.

EPC President, Dr. Ebtesam Al-Ketbi, pointed out that signing of these MOUs comes as part of the center’s strategy in diversifying its partnerships and opening up to other prestigious world think tanks.” These MOUs provide for establishing a partnership between EPC and each of these institutions with the aim of enhancing joint research efforts in security and political issues of common concern- regionally and globally-, conducting joint research projects, and organizing intellectual events and programs among other areas of cooperation” she added.

EPC’s President stated that the center achieves more successes every year as its list of partners and those interested in its activities and products is expanding, indicating that EPC has become within a short period of time one of the renowned think tanks in the region and has occupied an outstanding position on the map of think tanks in the world.

For their part, directors and representatives of these institutions who attended the signing ceremony expressed their happiness about the importance of such a step that would positively reflect on the exchange of research expertise and knowledge between them and EPC.They pointed out that they look to strengthen the partnership between all the institutions involved and embark on putting all relevant understandings into practice, a step that would contribute to enriching joint research work and improve its outcomes.
