The relationship between Egypt and Hamas has seen clear improvement since the end of the latest Israeli aggression against Gaza in 2014. This has raised questions about shifts in the ties between the two sides after a period of tense relations since 2013. The recent improvement in ties raises questions about its limits, significance and motivations; will it lead to comprehensive understandings between the two sides, or is it just a limited tactical understanding, especially in light of the escalating regional situation and the domestic challenges for both sides. The paper deals with the future of relations between Cairo and Hamas and presents three scenarios for the future of these relations in light of convening the conference to rebuild Gaza.
