Gulf Support to Egypt and its Significance at the Regional Level

The analysis deals with the stance of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to support Egypt after the fall of the Muslim Brotherhood’s rule and its significance in the following: • Facing the American project for the region, • Affirming the independence of Gulf security, • The strategic rediscovery of Egypt. The analysis affirms that the stand of Riyadh and Abu Dhabi has tried to execute the following: • Bring balance back to the Arab order, • Manage the situation in Syria, • A joint action in face of the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamist groups. The analysis concludes that the Egyptian-Gulf ties are in need of a joint strategic project based on a new concept for regional security.
