The Fourth Abu Dhabi Strategic Debate (ADSD) organized by Emirates Policy Center (EPC) concluded its panels and activities, today (Monday) in Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.
Political analysts and academicians found that all political Islamist groups have one core approach despite the apparent difference in their methodologies.
The Russian role in the Arab region and the world was discussed at the eighth panel of the fourth Abu Dhabi Strategic Debate, titled “Russia: Old Lenses for a New World”.
Academicians and experts examined the awaited leadership role prominent Asian countries, namely China, India, and Japan, could play in the arena of global power-players, and the challenges facing these countries.
US foreign policy in the Gulf region and president Donald Trump’s approach to handling key issues in the Middle East, specifically Iran, the nuclear deal, and the sanctions imposed on it, were the center of the discussions at the sixth panel of the fourth Abu Dhabi Strategic Debate, titled “U.S. Policy in the Gulf: Troubled Cruise”.

Former diplomats and experienced political analysts discussed five of the most pressing crises in the Middle East, namely, the ongoing struggles in Syria, Yemen, Libya, and Iraq, and the diplomatic crisis between Qatar and the Arab Quartet – Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, and Egypt.
Dr. Mark Abdollahian, CEO of “ACERTAS” and professor at the school of social science, policy & evaluations at Claremont University, gave a presentation titled: “Decoding the Future” at the fourth “Abu Dhabi Strategic Debate” (ADSD), organized by Emirates Policy Center (EPC).
H.E. Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, and Emirates Policy Center president, Dr. Ebtesam Al Ketbi, discussed the balance achieved in the United Arab Emirates between the concepts of “hard” and “soft” power.
Turkish former diplomats and political analysts discussed the changes in Turkish foreign policy and the relationship between Turkey and the Arab countries.
