Islamabad, Feb. 26, 2019 – Dr. Ebtesam Al-Ketbi, President of the Emirates Policy Center (EPC), and Maj. Gen. (Retd) Syed Khalid Amir Jaffery, President of the Center for Global and Strategic Studies (CGSS) in Islamabad, on Tuesday signed a memorandum of cooperation and partnership.

The signing ceremony was attended by the United Arab Emirates Ambassador in Islamabad Hamad bin Obaid Al-Zaabi.

The objective of the memo is to establish cooperation between the two centers on organizing conferences and preparing joint studies that provide strategic analysis on issues of common interest to the two sides.

The signing of the memo stems from EPC’s keenness to build a network of partnerships with key think tanks all over the world to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, research expertise and enhance cooperation with these centers.

The signing of this memo came on the sidelines of Dr. Al-Ketbi’s participation in a conference entitled “Forging Cordial Relations between Pakistan and the UAE through mutual Cooperation for Peace & Security of the Region” organized by CGSS in cooperation with the UAE embassy in Islamabad.

Dr. Al-Ketbi’s participation dealt with UAE’s initiatives and its role in fighting extremism and terrorism.
