The lecturer was James Crabtree, an associate professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School in Singapore, and a senior fellow at the school's Centre on Asia and Globalisation.

The center has also launched an electronic “Policy Brief” that provides researchers and scholars with in-depth analytics for political developments in both Arabic and English. EPC has also expanded its network of freelance researchers as well as partnerships with its regional and international counterparts.
