President of the Foreign Policy Institute in Tokyo Visits EPC

Abu Dhabi, Dec. 17, 2018 – Mr. Kunihiko Miyake, President of the Foreign Policy Institute- a private think-tank in Tokyo- visited EPC on Monday. Mr. Miyake is also Research Director for foreign and National Security Affairs at Canon Institute for Global Studies (CIGS) and a visiting professor at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, Japan. Mr. Kazuhiro Higashi, Chief of Political Section, and Ms. Momoko Tanaka, Chief of Cultural and Information Section at the embassy of Japan accompanied Mr. Miyake during the visit.
After the visiting delegation listened to a presentation made by Mr. Hassan Al Omari, Head of Studies and Policies Department at EPC on the center’s vision, goals and achievements since its establishment in 2013, Mr. Miyake commended EPC as a unique think tank in the region. Further, he expressed a keen interest in enhancing cooperation relations with EPC in mutual areas of interest. Afterwards, the head of the visiting delegation exchanged ideas and viewpoints with EPC researchers on developments in world affairs, global and regional strategies in Asia, and GCC-East Asia relations.
