Arab and Foreign Diplomats Visit EPC in April 2017

A number of Arab and Foreign diplomats visited in April 2017 Emirates Policy Center in Abu Dhabi to discuss a number of regional issues and benefit from EPC’s vision on these issues as the Center has become one of the leading think tanks in the United Arab Emirates and the region.

On Apr. 19, Danish Ambassador to the UAE, Merete Juhl, accompanied by a delegation from the Middle East and North Africa Administration in the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited EPC. The Danish delegation was briefed about EPC’s interests, activities and outcomes. Then, the two sides discussed regional issues, crises and their potential developments, and impact on international security and stability.

On Apr. 18, Dr. Ebtesam al-Ketbi, President of EPC received Omani Ambassador to the UAE, Dr. Khalid bin Sa’eed al-Jaradi and briefed him on EPC’s achievements and activities since 2013. The meeting also touched upon Omani-UAE bilateral ties and recent regional and international developments.

On the same day, a delegation from the Swedish embassy in Abu Dhabi, headed by First Secretary Carina Anjuman, also visited EPC, as the meeting touched on the UAE’s relations with the Kingdom of Sweden in particular and with the EU in general. Both sides also discussed latest regional developments and their political and security implications.

On April 17, Dr. al-Ketbi met HE Samuel Tan, Consulate-General of the Republic of Singapore in the UAE. The meeting focused on the common interests and goals shared by both countries, on the one hand, and those Singapore share with GCC countries, notably the UAE, on the other. Both sides also touched on the latest developments in the Middle East as well as their implications for world stability.

On the same day, HE Mohammed Amin Abdullah al-Kareb, Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to the UAE accompanied by HE Othman al-Sayed, Director of the Middle East and Africa Studies Center in Khartoum visited EPC. After Dr. Ebtesam gave a brief on the EPC’s vision, goals and activities, both sides discussed the political situation in the region and its potential reflections and outcomes.
