Emirates Policy Center | 4 May 2017
A delegation from the Chinese University of International Business and Economics visited Emirates Policy Center in Abu Dhabi on May 3, 2017 and met with EPC’s President Dr. Ebtesam al-Ketbi.
The delegation, led by Professor Ding Long, Deputy Dean of the School of Foreign Studies, Vice Secretary General of China-Arabic Education Association and member of the Chinese Association of Asian and African Studies, was briefed by Dr. al-Ketbi on the Center’s vision, achievements, activities and programs since its establishment in 2013.
The Chinese delegation expressed interest in developing cooperation with EPC to prepare researches, exchange views, and hold joint scientific events.
The two sides also discussed the latest regional developments and shifts in international politics. They also exchanged views on the reality and future of the Chinese-GCC ties and fields of common and mutual interests between China and the UAE, on one side, and China and other GCC countries, on the other.
The two sides reiterated that promoting Chinese-GCC relations in the political, economic and military/security fields requires the enhancement of cultural communication between China and the Gulf region, a role that must be played by think tanks on both sides.
